Employee community involvement

Every activity of the Foundation depends on commitment. This is why employee community involvement represents an important aspect of the Foundation’s organizational life.

SOCIAL ACTION DAY

A special day where the employees :

  • Mobilize their energy around the Foundation’s mission
  • Strengthen their team spirit by helping others
  • Provide tangible assistance to organizations

For the past 11 years, the employees have undertaken diversified activities: manual work, gardening, painting, cooking, room design, food sorting, etc.

Since the reopening of the J. Armand Bombardier Museum of Ingenuity, the Foundation’s staff has chosen to receive local organizations giving their beneficiaries the opportunity to discover a brand new museum, participate in activities and create an object in the Fab Lab. A day of wonderful interactions and learning for all, guests and visitors!

"Thank you for giving us the chance to spend such a beautiful day in such good company. Our participants were very impressed with the quality of the welcome, and the activities throughout the day. When we came home, we took a few minutes to make a feed-back of the visit and the testimonies were moving and grateful. The majority of them had never had the chance to visit the museum, and they will never forget it!"
Émilie, social worker at Les Petits frères de Sherbrooke
"What a great day you had for us! We cannot find the words to express our gratitude. With your warm welcome, we immediately felt at home. You showed us, the blind, the beauties of the Museum and the Cultural Centre with the eyes of the heart. Your attentive presence towards each and every one of us has put us in full confidence".
