Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal has become a world-renowned creation, production and performance company, dedicated to the development of ballet in all its forms, while remaining faithful to the spirit of classical technique. It connects with audiences at home and abroad, spurring discovery, stirring emotion, stimulating the imagination and conveying the passion for dance.
Since its founding in 1934, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal has earned an enviable reputation internationally through the quality of its many recordings and tours. The OSM distinguishes itself with innovative programming aimed at updating the orchestral repertoire and deepening the Orchestra’s connection with the community.
Art Souterrain’s mission is to make contemporary art accessible to a wide audience by taking it out of traditional exhibition spaces and showcasing the architectural heritage of Montreal’s underground city.
Since 2004, the Wapikoni Mobile, a travelling studio for audiovisual and musical creation, has made the rounds of Québec’s Indigenous communities. It helps young people fight isolation by developing artistic, technical, social and occupational competencies. It also plays a role in disseminating and preserving the cultural heritage of the First Nations.
La Fondation du Musée national des beaux-arts de Québec has the mission to promote and support the Museum’s work by favouring the development of collections, funding of exhibitions and support for educational and cultural activities.
Orford Music is a high-level classical music academy with the mission of stimulating the creativity of young musicians, at their beginnings and throughout the development of their professional life. Every summer, the Academy attracts over 400 university students from around the world to study with internationally renowned teachers.
Created in 1980, L’Opéra de Montréal ranks among the top 15 opera houses in North America. It annually presents four operas, shows by L’Atelier lyrique, a gala, and educational and democratization activities. L’Opéra de Montréal includes more than 150 artists, artisans and creators.
Created in 1993, the Foundation supports the action and growth of the Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex. It also has the mission of supporting it financially and creating connections between the Montréal community and the Complex.
