À Pas de Géant
Giant Steps has been at the forefront of education for children with autism for 40 years. It is one of the first schools in the world dedicated exclusively to autism. The school serves 90 students, ages 4 to 21, with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in its preschool, elementary and high school programs, in French and English. This model is unique in Quebec and has been replicated in many places around the world. In addition to individualized therapeutic services, the organization offers an inclusion program, which allows elementary and high school students to attend their local school two days a week, accompanied by an educator from Giant Steps.
We are proud to be associated with the Integrated Centre project, which is being built on the Technopôle Angus site and which will include, in addition to the school, an employment and adult education component, a community resource center and a research and innovation laboratory.
