Collectif Bienvenue

The Welcome Collective’s work focuses on the needs of refugee claimants who are in a vulnerable position with a special focus on providing them with basic essential goods, susch as household furnitures, winter clothing, school supplies, etc. In response to the Covid-19 crisis, the team of Welcome Collective varied their offered services by implementing a food security and distribution program offered to refugee claimant families in the Greater Montreal area. This new program is unique for it uses a personnalized approach: the staff and volunteers of Welcome Collective individually contact over 800 refugee families in order to ensure they have proper access to food, whether it be by food bank or direct delivery, and that the latest public health recommendations are transmitted to them in a language of their choice.
