Collectif Bienvenue

The Welcome Collective’s work focuses on the needs of refugee claimants who are in a vulnerable position with a special focus on providing them with basic essential goods, susch as household furnitures, winter clothing, school supplies, etc.

The team is linguistically and culturally diverse, coming from 16 countries in addition to Canada, and speaking a total of 15 languages. Approximately 80% of staff have lived experience of immigration to Canada through a variety of pathways, including refugee claims.

The team’s close interaction with its participants allows it to identify emerging trends and issues, which are quickly communicated to the government and partners.
