Fondation Marie-Vincent

Since the #mytoo movement that emerged in Quebec in the fall of 2017, the volume of requests for services at the Marie-Vincent Foundation has increased significantly. The number of reports retained for sexual abuse at the Direction de la protection de la jeunesse is also growing steadily. This has a considerable impact on the accessibility of the services
To date, more than 500 young people are waiting to receive the support they need to recover. Of these youth, nearly a quarter have been victims of cyber-violence or some form of sexual exploitation. In order to support more young people, the Marie-Vincent Foundation is launching a major fundraising campaign that also aims to strengthen child abuse prevention, train more professionals and deepen the organization’s expertise and leadership in child and youth abuse.
