Despite major advances in the field of suicide prevention, the need remains great. Over the past five years, JEVI has seen a significant 142% increase in traffic on its telephone intervention line. This increase has also had an impact on the rise in requests for other intervention services. In itself, this increase is good news, as more and more people dare to ask for help before committing an irreparable act, and know where to go to get the help they need.

To maintain the quality and professionalism of its services, JEVI devotes a great deal of energy to training its team and developing its interventions. The organization relies on the best professional practices in Quebec, as well as on training developed with the expertise of the Association Québécoise de prévention du suicide du Québec (AQPS).

This commitment to continuous improvement, combined with major efforts to consolidate the organizational structure, are all factors behind the Fondation J. Armand Bombardier’s ongoing commitment to the organization.
