La compagnie Jean Duceppe

Duceppe has been a resident company at Place des Arts since 1973, and is a fixture on the Quebec theatre scene. Active and committed, the company aims to highlight the relevance of theater in democratic debate by addressing human beings and citizens alike, and to move society forward by provoking reflection, encounters and the sharing of emotions through engaging and touching stories. To achieve this, the company prioritizes accessibility, both artistically and economically, while paying particular attention to openness to new talent and diversity.

The company continues to innovate with a brand new creation center, a multi-purpose space designed to host scenic laboratories, artistic residencies, technical rehearsals and experimental, convivial performances. We’re proud to be associated with this wonderful project.
