EN MARGE 12-17

En Marge’s interventions are guided by the global approach, the systemic approach, popular education, the trauma-sensitive approach and harm reduction. Through these different approaches, the team strives to create a bond with young people, taking them in their totality and individuality, just as they are. Our staff are committed to providing a safety net for young people in difficult situations, on the street or at odds with their home environment.

En Marge 12-17 is a gateway to the street, to something other than the street. A safety net for young people in search of themselves. More than a roof over their heads and a meal, the organization offers an alternative to running away and the street. It’s up to the young people we welcome to find their own answers. Answers that resonate with who they are and what they aspire to. En Marge’s responsibility is to encourage them to (re)empower themselves and take charge of their lives.
The intervention team accompanies young people and parents in a process in which they remain actors and masters.

Supporting En Marge’s mission means being able to help prevent youth homelessness, to counter the distress of young people who leave youth centers without a safety net, end up on the street, or experience significant difficulties in their family environment or development.
Young people for whom the passage through adolescence is too often punctuated by random risk-taking, jeopardizing the transition to adulthood.Preventing youth homelessness must also include targeted early intervention efforts to prevent sex trafficking, as well as effective approaches to housing stabilization when these young people leave a sex-trafficking situation.
The organization’s reputation is highly favorable with both funders and community partners.
