House of Compassion of Toronto

House of Compassion was founded by a group of citizens concerned about the impact of deinstitutionalization on people with severe mental illness. It provides permanent housing for adults living with severe and persistent mental illness in the City of Toronto.

Residents benefit from 24/7 supervision and support. This high-support housing model enables people to age in the community with appropriate support, and significantly reduces pressure on hospitals and long-term care.
