Fondation Dr Clown
Fondation Dr Clown brings together a team of about thirty professional artists from different cultural and language groups in Québec. Before they can work in hospitals, these artists take specialized training focused on their future mission: understanding the hospital environment, adaptation of clowning to account for the physical and psychological condition of the persons visited, respect for hygiene and confidentiality.
Jovia Foundation also intervenes during the training of future physicians to help them discover the impacts of alternative interventions complementary to medical acts. This type of training is offered at the request of experienced physicians, who see the scope of the therapeutic clown program in the field.
