Maison Théâtre
The Maison Théâtre is a cultural institution dedicated to young people aged 2 to 17, welcoming nearly 60,000 spectators each year. For over 40 years, it has offered a varied programme of professional, local and international performances for families and schools. It is actively committed to making theatre accessible to all, particularly those who are isolated from traditional cultural institutions, and to supporting the next generation of artists.
Its approach is based on theatre mediation and philotheatre, a method inspired by philosophical dialogue that encourages reflection and exchange. It aims to spark curiosity, strengthen a sense of cultural belonging and develop creative thinking in young people. In a context of crisis in arts funding, Maison Théâtre wishes to continue to offer a lively, inclusive and sustainable theatrical space. Theatre is seen there as a tool for social transformation and personal development that is essential for the younger generations.
