Moisson Montréal

Moisson Montréal supports nearly 300 organizations in Montreal, many of which work in schools to provide food to young people throughout the year. However, during the summer, this assistance stops, leaving many children without food support. These young people represent 36% of the beneficiaries of organizations accredited by Moisson Montréal. To address this need, the organization has launched the La Faim des vacances campaign, which aims to provide nutritious snacks to more than 10,000 children during the summer.

Thanks to the donations collected, Moisson Montréal will distribute 750,000 snacks in 2025, a 25% increase over 2024, when 570,000 snacks were provided. About 100 organizations across the island of Montreal are participating in this initiative, including day camps and youth centres. These organizations are responsible for distributing the snacks, ensuring that the process is inclusive and non-stigmatising for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
